Kitchen
The kitchen is where the nuns are cooking their daily meals of the day. We have one cook who help the nuns and one head nun (Store Keeper) who look after all the kitchen related works. The four nuns by rotation have to serve as a cook for a day.
Canteen
It’s where the nuns eat other than their normal routine meals. There are three nuns who have to work in the canteen by rotation for two months. One nun from the lower class is sent by rotation as a helper for a day. They have to cook foods for the nuns as well as outside customers. Our canteen is not profit oriented but the main motive is for the needs of the nuns as they have to stay late at night debating and studying. They also have to make Tsampa as main product of the nunnery. There are many process of making the Tsampa and the three nuns have to adjust between these works.
Shop
We have two nuns as shop keeper and they have to run the shop for two years. They also make Liphing as part of their other source of income. The shop is also not mainly to earn profit but for the necessity of the nuns.
