- SPONSORSHIP
A donation amount of $30 a month would cover the cost of living of a nun in the nunnery therefore we humbly request you all to support us by contributing towards educating the nuns and maintaining continuity in their spiritual journey. Your act of kindness will surely make a great difference in their life. It gives a woman with an aspiration to achieve a spirit of awakening and the opportunity to pursue higher studies in Buddhist Philosophy.
Your any means of donation will be highly appreciated such as food, clothing, books, etc. We will keep you in our prayers. And every donation and sponsorship made will be spent on the common cost of the nunnery.
Please kindly contact us on our email for further inquiries. Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and support towards the nuns.

TASHI DELEK!
My name is LEKI DEMA and I am 16 years old. Before, I stayed as a nun in BHUTAN. Due to my health condition, I was always sick when I was in Bhutan so I decided to change my nunnery in India. With the help of one of my friends, I got the opportunity to join Jangchub Choeling Nunnery in Mundgod.
For my side, my father’s name is PASSANG DORJI. Unfortunately, my mother passed away when I was at the age of 7. A long three years, my father struggled to raise our family members.
I have two siblings, my younger sister is also a nun in BHUTAN as well and my brother is a monk in India. When my beloved mother passed away, my father raised us for three years. Later, he got a second wife. Since that day, she is a mother to us. She treats us as her child. I truly know that she is a very hardworking woman and kind-hearted. Being in a normal family with a happy normal life is better than noble family.
I would appreciate you and your kind thoughts if you could support me through my journey in Jangchub Choeling Nunnery.
